Much
Revelry at the Reunion
by Richard Gruver -
August 22, 2005 Our class
reunion was a resounding success, with scores of our
classmates in attendance, as well as alumni from other
high schools, such as Rainier Beach and Cleveland.
Also, other graduation years were invited from various
years around the mid eighties. This made for a very
diverse group, and the really nifty thing about it was
the fact that many of the other high schools had alumni
who attended the same middle school, like Louisa Boren
and Denny. I, personally, even saw fellow
classmates from Sanislo Elementary, ones I hadn't seen
in well over 20 years. I'm pleased to say that
many of the attendees found out about the reunion from
this very website. There was dancing and drinking,
recounting and revelry all throughout the evening.
All in all, we all had a great time seeing one another
again and catching up on what's new in all our lives.
Class Keg Gets Kiped
by Richard Gruver -
August 22, 2005 Sometime
between midnight and closing time during Saturday's
event, Sealth's Spirit Keg "sprouted legs and walked
off." Kenan Cetincelik, the keg's keeper, was
deeply distraught by the theft. "Yeah... Can you
believe it? I am actually sad more than anything.
That was my baby," Kenan wrote in an email.
Kenan is
offering a reward for anyone who can help recover our
class keg (see Reward Page).
Other than this heinous act, the get-together at the
Northstar was great fun (see above article).
Sealth's
Class of 1985 Has New Website
by Richard Gruver - July
22, 2005 As of July 21, 2005,
Chief Sealth's Class of 1985 now has its own website.
Launched while still under construction, our new
website's aim is to provide assistance in organizing the
upcoming 20-year reunion. In addition, our site
will be a place where fellow classmates can share their
stories, thoughts, experiences, photos, etc. Soon,
the site will have many fun features, like a chat room,
photo galleries of school days and the reunions and
much, much more. If you know a fellow classmate
who doesn't yet know about the reunion, let them know
and tell them about www.sealth85.com, our classmates'
reunion resource. |
